My topic, Public transportation SHOULD be free for city residents. pls help me :(

For my first sentence, I said,

Some may believe public transit wouldn't be safe. (pls help me finish it :)) )

Answers

Answer 1

Some may believe public transit wouldn't be safe. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR TOPIC.....

chile, anyways....

Many people think that public transportation shouldn't be free. On the basis that there are many city residents who could use free public transportation, I claim that the city should put an end to high fees and metro cards. Making public transportation free will reduce the number of accidents that occur with pedestrians. Other people also believe that the city would lose money. While this is true, you could more easily tax city residents each year, causing you to have the same amount of money. This would help the city in not having to keep up with collecting money from driver's, worrying about theft, or people taking public transportation without paying. It would also take the financial burden off of people buying cars or paying expensive fees to travel within city limits. So, all in all, it would be a widely agreed upon benefit for public transportation to be free for city residents.

Developing countries host more than one-third of international migrants in the world. Most immigrants are migrant workers and are employed either formally or more often informally in their countries of destination. Immigration thus plays a key role in the destination countries’ economic development. A number of low- and middle-income countries, however, lack evidence and awareness of how immigrants can contribute to different segments of the economies and very few have developed and implemented appropriate policy frameworks. A large informal economy associated with weak labour migration management capacities and a lack of active labour market policies prevent many destination countries from making the most of immigration

Read this excerpt from “Poor Harold.”

A room in Washington Square South. By the light of a candle, a young man in tousled hair and dressing gown is writing furiously at a little table. A clock within strikes seven.

A door at the back opens, and a young woman looks in, sleepily. She frowns. The young man looks up guiltily.

SHE. What are you doing?

HE. (innocently) Writing.

SHE. So I see. (She comes in, and sits down. It may be remarked that a woman's morning appearance, in dishabille, is a severe test of both looks and character; she passes that test triumphantly. She looks at the young man, and asks) – Poetry?

HE. (hesitatingly) No. . . .

SHE. (continues to look inquiry).

HE. (finally) A letter. . . .

SHE. (inflexibly) – To whom?

HE. (defiantly) To my wife!

SHE. Oh! That's all right. I thought perhaps you were writing to your father.

HE. (bitterly) My father! Why should I write to my father? Isn't it enough that I have broken his heart and brought disgrace upon him in his old age –

SHE. Disgrace? Nonsense! Anybody might be named as a co-respondent in a divorce case.

HE. Not in Evanston, Illinois. Not when you are the local feature of a notorious Chicago scandal. Not when your letters to the lady are published in the newspapers. – Oh, those letters!

SHE. Were they such incriminating letters, Harold?

HAROLD. Incriminating? How can you ask that, Isabel? They were perfectly innocent letters, such as any gentleman poet might write to any lady poetess. How was I to know that a rather plain-featured woman I sat next to at a Poetry Dinner in Chicago was conducting a dozen love-affairs? How was I to know that my expressions of literary regard would look like love-letters to her long-suffering husband? That's the irony of it: I'm perfectly blameless.

Write an analysis of the poem "I wandered lonely as a cloud" and how can you incorporate the learning of the poem with your life.

WORD LIMIT IS 400 WORDS

Answers

Answer:

William Wordsworth has shown life learning lessons in the poem 'I wandered lonely as a cloud'. This is shown in the quotation "I wandered lonely as a cloud". This quotation suggests that even when you are by yourself and lonely and missing your friends, you can use your imagination to find new friends in the world around you. The use of the personification of the daffodils suggests that they are “dancing” in every stanza—the speaker preemptively flips this personification on its head in the very first line. The use of the simile 'I wandered lonely as a cloud' serves to link the speaker and nature together. Wordsworth's intention was to capture the feeling that came over him when he spent time with family walking down the daffodil countryside. The reader's reaction is feeling touched by Wordsworth's sincere words.
