Answer the question below

Answer The Question Below

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

Out of the two options, the second one is more accurate.

Explanation:

Although Edward did come up with the idea for the Statue of Liberty, it isn't what the entire section is about. The excerpt says how he admired America and wanted the Statue to inspire freedom and democracy in France. Since that is what the second option is talking about, it would have to be the second one.

cAs he thought about the hieroglyphs in Thothmes' and Ramesses' names, Champollion realized their significance. It went far beyond the names themselves and gave him an insight into the entire system of hieroglyphic writing. For the names revealed that hieroglyphs were not simply representations of sounds. Nor did they have an exclusively symbolic meaning, as Thomas Young and other scholars had long believed. Instead, they were a combination of the two.

James Cross Giblin

Doñana National Park is one of the major natural wonders of Spain and the world. It is a must-see for any nature enthusiast. There are many species of flora in the park: trees, including pines, flowers such as roses, and shrubs. This makes backpacking solo or with a group a unique and breathtaking journey. Not only does Doñana National Park offer numerous trails and terrain, but it also is home to numerous species of animals, including fish, birds, and mammals making camping an unforgettable experience as you blend the boundaries between nature and self. There are many campsites close to the Playa de Castilla beach along the A494 between Mazagón and Matalascañas, which runs alongside the park boundary. In the summer it's well worth booking in advance when the campsites could be full, particularly in August.

When DO YOU use an article before television and when do you NOT use an article before television? Pls give examples related to this topic.

Answers

Answer:

televisions. If television is preceded by an article, the implication is there's only one television, which all the people are watching. Whether it's a or the simply depends on whether earlier context has already identified that specific television set.

Read the excerpt from "The Day the Gulls Went Crazy".

Clearly, "bird brains" are more complicated than we think. And perhaps, we humans aren't so smart after all. That's something to think about next time you watch a bird. And if you see some gulls, think twice before you disturb them. They just might remember your face. And as Larry can tell you, they dive-bomb with missile-like accuracy.

Which statement best explains how the passage supports the author's purpose?

A. The purpose is to inform; it explains how people can safely interact with gulls.

B. The purpose is to entertain; the author jokes that gulls will take revenge if people bother them.

C. The purpose is to question; the author doubts gulls can really memorize what people look like.

D. The purpose is to persuade; the author wants to prove that gulls are the most intelligent of birds.

How is an article written 50 years after an event different from an article written one year after the event?

A: It can reflect on the long-term impact of the event.

B: It can summarize the details of the event chronologically.

C: It can provide lots of specific details about the event.

D:It can show the immediate reactions of the people involved.

Answers

A: It can reflect on the long-term impact of
the event.

because it would be able to include things that happened in the 50 years after the event had occurred.

Answer:

A

Explanation:

An article written a year after would only have information on the effects of the event a year later and nothing beyond that, but an article written decades later would probably have more info on the long term effects of the event. For example what happened on 9/11, a year after the collapse of the towers there probably weren't that many people who had chronic diseases from the dust inhaled at Ground Zero, but years later more and more people found out they had some sort f long term effect from inhaling that dust years ago. Hope this helps :)

Droughts have become increasingly dangerous because of...
a. acid rain.
b. oil spills.
c. ocean pollution.
d. climate change.

Answers

Answer: D

Explanation: Because acid rain would not really affect droughts, and acid rain is better than no rain, so A is out of the question. Oil spills usually affect water, and I never heard of a giant oil spill on land, so same with B.

Ocean pollution has absolutely nothing to do with droughts, because Ocean pollution is for the oceans, not land, so only D is left.

Why it's D is because climate change makes the earth hotter, and there is more water evaporating, and more severe droughts.

The answer D
Climate Change

Write a paragraph comparing and contrasting the text medium and the audio medium of “The Tell-Tale Heart,” analyzing how the pace, character, and mood varied within each medium and how these differences affected you.
can somebody help?

Answers

“ The Tell Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe claim for me is that the mediums were very similar since they were the same story the only difference was that the audio gave sound effects and made it more imaginative. The pace of the visual reading was much slower than the audio reading because the audio reading gave jump scares and sound effects to make the story go faster, rather in the visual reading you had to take your time and look for context clues to give hints to the reader. For the characters I feel that they were very similar. The only difference was that you actually got to hear the man’s voice in the audio rather in the visual you didn’t you just had to imagine it. And last but not least the mood. In the audio, the sounds and the voices made me feel frightened or panicked rather in the story i just felt aware or alarmed. So after reading both mediums the claim for me was definitely that they were both very similar but each medium affected you a different way.
